Description dwmw2@infradead.org 2010-04-20 11:17:49 CEST
Spec: http://david.woodhou.se/get_iplayer.spec
SRPM: http://david.woodhou.se/get_iplayer-2.76-1.fc14.src.rpm

Description:
get_iplayer is a tool for listing, recording and streaming BBC iPlayer TV
programmes, and other programmes via 3rd-party plugins.

Unsuitable for Fedora because it requires rtmpdump.

rpmlint whines about spelling errors but nothing relevant.

Fairly simple package, though a hefty perl script at that.

naming: ok

scriplets: ok (none)

MUST: %files: as discussed on irc, %{_sysconfdir}/get_iplayer/ needs to be owned

SHOULD: add to %files: %doc README

licensing: ok

runtime: ok, I only verified basic functionality, fetching listings.

SHOULD: consider using 'install -p' to preserve timestamps

I think noarch should be ok here, provided all the Requires: deps are available on all archs.

I trust you can address the relatively minor MUST item and look at the SHOULD's, prior to building.

APPROVED.

Great to see this here, but didn't upstream drop support for this [1]? What is the status, did someone else take over upstream maintenance?
