You mentioned that your files are recorded as TS streams. Are you sure the mastered files you are using with DVDStyler are DVD-compliant MPEG-PS files? Avidemux will verify that saved videos comply to DVD standards when saving as MPEG-PS streams. If you open your mastered files in avidemux and save them as-is (copy video+audio) but select MPEG-PS as the file type, what happens? These are MPEG files of a type (at least with earlier releases of dvdstyler) suitable for using with dvdstyler, created with mplex -f8 (from mjpegtools). File type is "MPEG sequence, v2, program multiplex", and dvdstyler will automatically set the "do not remultiplex/transcode" flag for them. What I neglected to mention was that this were MPEGs + project file that I had used while my system back in February 2010 was still Fedora 12 -based. Back then this combination worked, now it doesn't. Nor can I master DVDs from newly created MPEG files of the same type. Avidemux takes about 50 seconds to copy the audio and video streams into a new file, the subtitling stream is lost as avidemux doesn't support it. I created a small test DVD with a 10M video clip, and it fails in exactly the same way: "dvd info packet is version 1". I think dvdauthor is complaining about the menu mpeg dvdstyler created, instead of the video file I have included? Anyway, here are the two files, you'll probably have to muck around with the paths a bit to get the example working: http://www.otto.net/~otto/dvdstyler-test/ The people at rpmforge/dvdstyler (link above) say that the xml file seems to be correct, but the menu video generated from it using the ffmpeg is wonky and that's why dvdstyler is quitting. I have on my machine ffmpeg-0.6-0.3.20100429svn.fc13.x86_64 from Fedora 13 -- does this dvdstyler package work using this library? I tried generating a with both a local build of dvdstyler 1.8.1 as well as 1.8.0.3 from the repos and both were able to successfully generate the DVD files. $ rpm -q ffmpeg dvdauthor ffmpeg-0.6-0.3.20100429svn.fc13.x86_64 dvdauthor-0.6.18-2.fc13.x86_64 Does your system also have that version of dvdauthor? I realized this error was caused by the fact that I had an ancient version of spumux in my personal bin directory, and had really nothing to do with dvdstyler itself. Sorry for the bother, I'm closing this ticket. |
