I don't reproduce that myself. Which Desktop Environment are you using ? It might be around the xosd notification module. Can you reproduce if /usr/lib64/vlc/plugins/misc/libxosd_plugin.so is moved elsewhere ? I use GNOME. I moved libxosd_plugin.so to ~/vlc.debug/ and, voila, itexits without any hitch. You were right. Now what? ;-) Where you using that module for a particular task ? This module is deprecated upstream, It just not be built anymore solving the problem. Does that sound right for you ? Sounds cool. Looks like OSD (e.g. volume change) works anyway. thx, Peter fixed in 1.1.4-6 |
