I have no idea why the old version ended up in testing. I'll ask around. I have tried to install rt3070 from development with this results:
[root@travelmate yossi]# yum --enablerepo=rpmfusion-free-rawhide install rt3070
Loaded plugins: langpacks, presto, refresh-packagekit
Adding en_US to language list

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest

My kernel is 2.6.35.9-64 (latest). It seems that there is still something missing or I don't know what I am doing.
Hello. For the rawhide version, it would be better if you use the akmod-rt3070 version instead. Switched to using akmod-rt3070 in rawhide and now this adapter works as advertised. There was an exception in installing the rpm built by akmod but this was for all the akmod rpms and not just akmod-rt3070. It worked none the less. When would this be moved to testing and then to updates? I am using this package in a livecd iso and I am not sure how one would get livecd-creator to take just this package from testing or rawhide? Thanks. RPMFusion is no longer releasing updates for this version of Fedora. This bug will be set to RESOLVED:EXPIRED next week to reflect this. If the problem persists after upgrading to the latest version of Fedora, please update the version field of this bug (and re-open it if it has been closed). Setting to RESOLVED:EXPIRED since RPMFusion is no longer releasing updates for this version of Fedora. |
Filed a wishlist for rt3070 yesterday. Now see that there is something in testing built last night. When I try to install it I get: [root@travelmate Downloads]# yum --enablerepo=rpmfusion-free-updates-testing install rt3070 Loaded plugins: langpacks, presto, refresh-packagekit Adding en_US to language list Setting up Install Process Resolving Dependencies --> Running transaction check ---> Package rt3070.noarch 0:2.3.0.2-1.fc14 set to be installed --> Processing Dependency: rt3070-kmod >= 2.3.0.2 for package: rt3070-2.3.0.2-1.fc14.noarch --> Running transaction check ---> Package kmod-rt3070.i686 0:2.3.0.4-1.fc14.2 set to be installed --> Processing Dependency: kmod-rt3070-2.6.35.6-48.fc14.i686 >= 2.3.0.4-1.fc14.2 for package: kmod-rt3070-2.3.0.4-1.fc14.2.i686 --> Running transaction check ---> Package kmod-rt3070-2.6.35.6-48.fc14.i686.i686 0:2.3.0.4-1.fc14.2 set to be installed --> Processing Dependency: rt3070-kmod-common >= 2.3.0.4 for package: kmod-rt3070-2.6.35.6-48.fc14.i686-2.3.0.4-1.fc14.2.i686 --> Finished Dependency Resolution Error: Package: kmod-rt3070-2.6.35.6-48.fc14.i686-2.3.0.4-1.fc14.2.i686 (rpmfusion-free-updates-testing) Requires: rt3070-kmod-common >= 2.3.0.4 Installing: rt3070-2.3.0.2-1.fc14.noarch (rpmfusion-free-updates-testing) rt3070-kmod-common = 2.3.0.2 You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest [root@travelmate Downloads]#
