Hi,

I did have a look at the upstream package which includes french translation.
It looks like the french (at least) translation have not been included in this package as the UI I can see is only composed of english msg.

Please check and take the appropriate action.

Look like the .mo files are packaged in the main package (avidemux) but avidemux-{gtk,qt,cli} doesn't explicitly require it. Does installing it fix the problem?

Yes it does.
I think it is reasonable to close this bug and the best solution, I think, would be to add a depend.

I've submitted it to the buildsys, it should be in the repos soon.
