Description Tomasz Torcz 2011-09-14 14:18:42 CEST
Motion shouldn't be run as root. Unpriviledged user should be created during package installation.
- RPM should add user "motion"
- tmpfiles.d snippet should be used to create /run/motion as home directory for this user.

I'll have a look at it in a couple of weeks/months, right now I don't have any spare time and it "works" even if it's not optimal.

@Tomasz Torcz
Steven as dropped maintenance of the motion package.
Feel free to submit a patch and step up to maintain this package in RPM Fusion.
If not maintainer by F-18 the package will be removed.
Comment 3 Emmanuel Seyman 2012-07-02 07:08:26 CEST
RPMFusion is no longer releasing updates for this version of Fedora. This bug
will be set to RESOLVED:EXPIRED next week to reflect this.

If the problem persists after upgrading to the latest version of Fedora, please
update the version field of this bug (and re-open it if it has been closed).
