This is a tracker bug for new package requests in RPM Fusion. All RPM Fusion packages that need to be reviewed should block this bug.

I am having a problem with my video after I added another 1 GB memory stick to my system.  I'm running Fedora 10 x86_64 and I've been running with 3GB for about 2 months without issue.  I up't my memory to 4GB and I can't get X to show anything.  It will boot just fine, but when it comes to giving me a gui login, the screen is black and eventually loses the signal to the monitor.

To work around this problem I have booted into runlevel 3 and modified my /etc/X11/xorg.conf file to use the "nv" driver instead of "nvidia".  Then I startx and I'm fine.  I have noticed that my settings don't stick.  When I reboot I have to change the xorg.conf file again.  So; I removed kmod-nvidia and all other nvidia drivers to get my xorg.conf file to continually use "nv" drivers.

The only major issue for me, is I no longer have 3D support, so no video games for me. :(

However Mythtv does not play any sound ("Mixer unable to find control PCM").
Mplayer does play sound on the same recordings.
I have googled a lot and the problem seems to be something like Fedora 12
defaulting to Pulseaudio while MythTV turning pulseaudio off.
I have found some suggesting to uninstall pulseaudio partially, but when I
try I get no sound at all from any application.
I have tried all non-digital sound output settings in MythTV (and even one
digital).

Also, When I make a movies on a dvd. I don't have a sound or with a mp3 file music.

Is-it possible to package the new version mythtv 0.22.224% thank you

I recently upgraded my PC with an additional 2 GB memory stick, but now I'm having problems with the video output. I've been using Fedora 10 x86_64 for the last two months with 3GB of RAM and haven't had any issues. The X server still won't show anything, even after I upgraded to 4 GB of RAM. The computer powers up without a hitch, however the GUI login screen disappears and the signal goes out as soon as it attempts to display it.

I fixed this by switching to the "nv" driver from the "nvidia" one in my /etc/X11/xorg.conf file after booting into run level 3. I was able to startx and get the GUI to work once I did this. Having said that, I've seen that these modifications disappear upon reboot. Every time, I need to make the same changes to the xorg.conf file. For this modification to take effect, I removed kmod-nvidia along with all other nvidia drivers. Now, my xorg.conf attested at https://atlasdoorrepair.com/ file always makes use of the "nv" drivers.

One drawback of this technique is that it disables 3D support, which renders all video games inaccessible.
