Description Jacek Piskozub 2011-11-21 12:53:44 CET
The new updated foo2lava package blocks updating Fedora 15. You gives the following error (which tells it all) during the Transaction Check phase:

Transaction Check Error:
file /usr/share/foomatic/db/source/printer/KONICA_MINOLTA-magicolor_2430_DL.xml from install of foo2lava-0.20111105-1.fc15.i686 conflicts with file from package foomatic-db-4.0-28.20110221.fc15.noarch

The fact that the error happens that late (during the Transaction Check) means that it is impossible to avoid it even by using --skip-broken. The only way to have the system updated is to erase foo2lava.

A small correction: I meant "the only way to have the system automatically updated". Of course there is always the option of using --exclude=foo2lava
Comment 2 Cédric OLIVIER 2011-11-22 21:10:17 CET
Thanks for this report, KONICA_MINOLTA-magicolor_2430_DL.xml has been removed from foo2lava.

I have submit the package update, so it will be ok soon.

I don't want to be a killjoy but the foo* packages in http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/updates/testing/15/i386/ with build timestamps from November 23 do not have their version bumped (it is identical to the November 7 built packages in the updates directory).

This does not augur well the update blocking problem, at least in the short run...
Comment 4 Emmanuel Seyman 2012-07-02 07:08:21 CEST
RPMFusion is no longer releasing updates for this version of Fedora. This bug
will be set to RESOLVED:EXPIRED next week to reflect this.

If the problem persists after upgrading to the latest version of Fedora, please
update the version field of this bug (and re-open it if it has been closed).
Comment 5 Emmanuel Seyman 2012-07-11 21:33:35 CEST
Setting to RESOLVED:EXPIRED since RPMFusion is no longer releasing updates for
this version of Fedora.
