Description Lawrence Graves 2012-02-22 14:46:32 CET
I am not able to install akmod-nvida on my Dell 9400 Inspiron. However, I am able to go to Nvidia.com and get their .run nvidia drivers and install them in runlevel3. This all began with the 290.10 nvidia drivers.
I have had people to log into my laptop remotely to try and figure this out and they were unable. Because of the frustration of it, I left it alone for a while and just used the runlevel3 approach in order to run nvidia drivers.
I am just not satisfied with the fact I can't install nvidia drivers through rpmfusion/akmods.
Would you please look into this problem?
I am using the Quadro FX2500m nvidia card and it is compatibile with the nvidia drivers that are being produced.
I wish I could attached the screen results but I don't know how as it will not produce an error report that I can see. Please inform as to how I can produce a error report to better help you to help me find the solution to this annoying problem.

We need to get the bugzilla components assigned correctly. I don't maintain akmod-nvidia (Nicolas?), only the akmods package. Although I am interested in seeing this resolved.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure what else can be done. I've followed your troubles on the mailing list and I'm not sure what more I could possibly add.
