One of the planned features of Fedora 19 is to remove PyXML.

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/RemovePyXML

Within the feature, all dependencies on PyXML within Fedora itself is investigated. But python-MythTV of RPM Fusion also depends on it, and that will break if nothing is done.

As I understand it, PyXML is dead, and the primary strategy is to try to convince upstreams to port their code to a newer library. I don't know if that would make sense in this case?

Upstream has said only lxml is required. I'm doing a test build now.
Comment 2 Richard 2013-03-05 18:01:12 CET
I have converted the package to use python-lxml.
