"From up on poppy hill" glitch

Upgraded to Fedora 18 and XBMC 12 today, and for the most part it works well. Playback of stuff in "The Trailers" (Apple trailers) addon though is very buggy. There are constantly weird graphical artifacts in the image.

It seems to be present in most (all?) of their movies. It is also present in multiple resolutions, and oddly enough has basically the same kind of glitch. Playback with mplayer of the exact same file on the system produces no problems, which is odd given they use the same libraries.

I tried changing the scaling method, and the render method, but it had no effect. Also tried disabling VDPAU and VAAPI. Again, no effect.

It is very clear in the first few seconds of the "From up on poppy hill" trailer. I've attached a screen shot of the glitch in that movie.

I'm using a radeon card with the open source driver.

And in case it wasn't clear, I have yet to see this glitches anywhere else, with one glaring exception: another apple trailer (.mov) that I downloaded years ago.

So it seems there is some bad interaction between xbmc, libav and either the mov container, or the way Apple encodes h264.

Problem seems to be gone now. No upgrade of xbmc, so I have to assume that it was fixed in ffmpeg. For reference I now have ffmpeg-libs-1.0.5-1.fc18.x86_64 on the system.
