Description bernard 2013-05-30 07:37:19 CEST
Hi,

I am trying to install the Nvidia 319 driver from rpmfusion non-free rawhide on my Fedora 18 system but there is a mismatch in version numbers between the akmod-nvidia package (319.17) and the xorg-x11-drv-nvidia and xorg-x11-nvidia-drv-libs packages (version 319.23)

I have previously installed xorg-x11-drv-nvidia 319.17 from this repository, but an update to 319.23 rendered me unable to log into the gui. After purging the Nvidia driver with the cli and reinstalling the Nvidia driver I am now stuck with the old 304 version from the standard repo.

Please fix this. Thanks.

Moving to (more) correct bugzillia component. The name akmod seems to confuse a lot of people, but the akmods package itself is nothing but a collection of scripts to automate the building and installing the kernel modules, the akmod-nvidia packages are created by the nvidia specific source rpms.
