So maybe better to disable translations again for now? Well darn... There's not much I can do about it except to include or not include them. Have you look at the forums? If I get a chance I'll ask on there to see if this is a known issue. No, I didn't looked, just installed new build. Build avidemux-qt-2.6.4-2.fc19 with broken localization pushed to free-updates-testing repo. Needed new build with disabled translations. dangit... Got busy at work. I've asked about the Russian translations specificly on the forums. We'll see what they say. Worst case you can delete the translations manually... Typically I wouldn't install them as a separate package but in this case maybe it makes sense? Translations subpackage can be solution, if someone whats them then they can be installed separately. Ok, I'm testing the packaging locally first but I have added a new sub-package, avidemux-i18n which is not directly required by any other package (necessary to make it optional) but does require the avidemux and avidemux-qt packages. Does that approach seem reasonable to you? Should be fine because now translations available only for qt gui, but if gtk translations will be added then new i18n sub-package should be modified somehow. Not that I expected it to fail, but I tested the new packaging method using: 'LC_ALL"ru_RU.utf8" avidemux3-qt4' and saw what you meant about the incomplete translations. I'm not too worried about the name as I've really considered dropping the GTK interface as it's non-functional and not being actively worked on but I keep hoping someone will eventually fix it. Worst case I can package both sets of translations in the one package. It won't hurt anything, just take up a little more space. The new builds have started hitting the testing repositories so I'm calling this done (as we can get it!). |
