Description Aleksandar Kostadinov 2013-06-11 13:59:05 CEST
From some time xbmc is unable to play any DVD files. It seems to me it is not compatible with libdvdnav version currently available.

xbmc-12.2-1.fc18.i686
libdvdnav-4.2.0-3.fc18.i686

See what I am seeing in xbmc log:

Hi Aleksander,

This was recently addressed in bug 2820. Can you please try xbmc-12.2-3, in updates-testing?

yum --enablerepo=rpmfusion-free-updates-testing update xbmc

Thank you very much, I couldn't find that bug. Now it seems to be working fine. I'm seeing some other error in the log but I can't see anything not working:

22:11:56 T:3073357760 ERROR: XLCDproc::Connect - Unable to connect to host, LCDd not running?
22:11:56 T:3073357760   ERROR: XLCDproc::Initialize - Connect failed. Giving up.

Hi Aleksandar,

Thanks for marking it as a duplicate.

For XLCDproc, does this thread help? http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=159322
