software update, kernel 3.11.1-200.fc19x86_64 installed.
Rebooted. No GUI presented. 
Asked to run 'systemctl status initial-setup-graphical.service.
Ran that... no output (reported missing file)

rebooted into previous kernel, no problems. 

It was suggested this bug properly belongs here.
