Can you provide a diff against the previous spec files, I'm not looking at src.rpm, only patches are accepted for review. Would you volunteer to maintain this package in RPM Fusion ? You will need to learn the packaging guideline in fedora Please have a look at http://rpmfusion.org/Contributors (In reply to comment #1) > Can you provide a diff against the previous spec files, > I'm not looking at src.rpm, only patches are accepted for review. > > Would you volunteer to maintain this package in RPM Fusion ? > You will need to learn the packaging guideline in fedora > Please have a look at http://rpmfusion.org/Contributors Hi Nicolas, only diff will note compile the package, we need the git sources too; I think I'll make a git version of the package. I created "fastrizwaan" username; could you sponsor, I'd volunteer to main this. But I'd need tips and little guidance in building and contributing packages to rpmfusion. Thanks. The diff spec looks correct for the update. According to the fedora fas, you are not a sponsored in the packager group. Do you have any packages for review in the fedora queue ? I lack time to sponsor you in rpmfusion or fedora, so the best way would be to submit package into fedora and get a sponsor here. That been said, given that you are a user of ffmpeg2theora, I can consider to sponsor you in rpmfusion only so you can maintain this package back into RPM Fusion. Can you verify that your modifications match the version guideline: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:NamingGuidelines#Package_Versioning Please use a unified diff (diff -u) if you need to provide patches. Well, I understand that others software may requires ffmpeg2theora, but if it takes too long to update to a current version of ffmpeg, better to stay away from it and to use native ffmpeg instead: http://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/TheoraVorbisEncodingGuide Please patch your application to avoid using ffmpeg2theora instead. |
