Hi, the abrt bug report is a good report, I see that abrt find to possible duplicated bugs : https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=996635 and https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1045759 I saw that you use xorg-x11-drv-nouveau so I bet in second bug , and nouveau fault , just a bet ! you can do 2 things one is uninstall VirtualBox for a while get the oops and report to bugzilla.redhat.com other is install nvidia drives if your nvidia (especially is nvidia is a recent version) and see if oops again . If it not oops so is nouveau ... Best regards, As you wrote on https://ask.fedoraproject.org/question/38477/uninstall-virtualbox-kernel-modules/?answer=38797#post-id-38797 "Almost forgot to tell: The bug reports you linked suggested to turn of Nvidia Optimus in the BIOS. I did it and had no kernel OOPS ever since. Thanks. " closing |
Created attachment 1243 [details] Report for a kernel oops A kernel OOPS in a kernel that has the Virtual Box modules installed. I am not sure whether it is related to those modules, but I can not report it to fedora mainline, because of the non-mainline kernel modules. I attached the abrt bug report. Please tell me if you need more information.
