Description Wilf 2014-07-13 13:17:54 CEST
When receiving updates to the kernel packages in Fedora 19 (to 3.14.4, 3.14.7 3.14.8, etc) the kmod* packages also need updates to match the kernel version (currently 3.14.8-100.fc19).

But the kmod-staging package has not received updates since 3.13*, meaning various drivers (e.g. laptop SD card reader, etc) are not available for the 3.14*. Other packages like the kmod-VirtualBox have received updates

I have done a a few workarounds - both worked:
 - installed the fc20 kernel + kmod-staging package in the Fedora 19 machine
 - recompiling the staging-kmod-3.14.2-1.fc20.7.src.rpm

Sounds like we are still on 3.13 in F-19... I will try to rsync to the 3.14 version from my cvs2git script...

Thanks, there now appears to be kmod-staging for some 3.14* kernels (see here: http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/updates/19/x86_64/repoview/letter_k.group.html ) - does the need to be marked as 'resolved'?
