Description D. Wagner 2015-03-06 01:34:18 CET
The debuginfo package for freetype-freeworld cannot be installed together with the debuginfo package freetype; RPM gives an error identifying a conflict. Some packages need both debuginfo packages to be simultaneously installed, to debug them. This looks like it might be some kind of packaging error.

To reproduce:
# debuginfo-install freetype
# debuginfo-install freetype-freeworld

Observed output: the first debuginfo-install succeeds, the second gives the following error:

 # debuginfo-install freetype-freeworld
[...]
--> Running transaction check
---> Package freetype-freeworld-debuginfo.x86_64 0:2.5.3-4.fc21 will be installed

Does not seem to be a dup of bug #556, as the conflict here is in a different file (pcfread.c).

Still the same underlying issue (they use the same source directories). You get a conflict on a regular source file because the latest bugfix for freetype got pushed to stable faster than the freetype-freeworld one, such synchronization issues can always happen.
