I would like to look into this after I upgrade vbam to 2.0 beta. https://github.com/visualboyadvance-m/visualboyadvance-m/releases/tag/VBA-M_Beta_2 Note that there are some issues with wxgtk-sdl that I would like to resolve first. Work in progress: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1403423 It packages fine, but there are some emulation bugs I need to iron out first. I've ironed out the issues with beta2. If anyone is interested in reviewing this package, please feel free. |
A few months ago, it was announced that the Fedora Project's policy on game emulators had changed. The new rules are summarized here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Licensing:SoftwareTypes#Emulators And here's the announcement and ensuing discussion: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org/message/OCIB2WAZ6DF3HJZV2OWYOTNRTUZZ6VRX/ ...Basically, game emulators are now allowed in Fedora, as long the emulator itself and its dependencies use an acceptable license. So now the rules are pretty much the same as any other package. Since VBAM is in the Free repositories on RPM Fusion, I'm guessing that means VBAM would qualify to be moved to the mainstream Fedora repos. Right? What do you think? --- (I'll be refiling this report for the other game emulators, so sorry if you see this twice.)
