Yes, Fedora updated a major library in the middle of a stable release. Normally that is not supposed to happen. We have already rebuilt kodi to work against the new version of fmt, but it has not been pushed to the RPMFusion repos yet. You can download it from Koji if you cannot wait. http://koji.rpmfusion.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=9591 *** Bug 5107 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 5111 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Mike Didn't want to open a new bug for this. kodi.pvr.mythtv in the rpmfusion repos is v5.8.6 however the current release for kodi v18 is 5.10.2. https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues/15101 This could be contributing to the ongoing conflict issue we're having with https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/15104 would it be possible for the next kodi build cycle to update the kodi.pvr.mythtv version please. That has nothing to do with the kodi package. Please file a bug against that add-on. Add-ons are separate packages and are not built from the kodi package. |
Created attachment 1992 [details] dnf install kodi output I'm installing Kodi for F9 x86_64... A couple of dnf updates back I noticed that fmt wasn't getting updated. Then for todays dnf update I had a little time so decided to investigated If I try to install the latest Kodi I still get the fmt can't be upgraded message. So, I decided to uninstall fmt and kodi manually and reinstall the latest versions manually. See the attached output.txt files for the dnf reports on the various stages. In a nutshell...... remove fmt - works fine install latest fmt - works fine install kodi - wants to force a downgrade of fmt to a much earlier version So there would appear to be a dependency conflict somewhere in either the build script or the dependency packages dependencies.
