The official sites says we have the latest version. https://www.audiocoding.com/downloads.html https://sourceforge.net/projects/faac/files/faac-src/ Is that some random github repo? I don't think there is any real faac users anymore. (beyound gst-bad-nonfree and dream). But there are still faad2 users. I expect it's the same here. If one volunteers to collect patches and improvements for this project I see no reason not to move to this better maintained version. Is there any (silent) ABI breakage with this new version ? (and even if not that much faac users, I think it's best to keep legacy component, specially if still maintained). Fixed in F32 |
