I installed the nvidia driver from Gnome software, after enabling the repository for it. As expected, the nouveau driver was blacklisted in the grub entry.
Later, I removed the nvidia driver, but nouveau stayed blacklisted.
I had to manually remove the blacklisting text from /etc/default/grub and rerun grub2-mkconfig.

Can you post the complete /etc/default/grub before you have removed the nouveau blacklist by hand ?
