FFMS2 2.40 was released this august. First release after nearly four years.
https://github.com/FFMS/ffms2/releases
Due to the need to rebuild dependent packages I filed this against rawhide only.

I appears to have only one dependent package

$ sudo dnf repoquery --whatrequires 'libffms2.so.4()(64bit)'

OK, aegisub was the obivous one, but I also suspected other video/audio editing software. Thanks for the clarification!

Aegisub will probably need a ffmpeg and ffms2 update to build:

(maybe it's easier to update source to newer commit level anyway)

I have completed F34 and f33 updates for ffms2 and aegisub.
