Waiting for the outcome of: https://trac.mcs.anl.gov/projects/mpich2/ticket/165 The update to mpd-0.15 includes "Conflicts: mpich2" as there seems to be not happening much upstream to resolve this. FYI, nothing in fedora provides /usr/bin/mpd anymore (in f20 as far as I can tell), so I'd say this Conflicts is no longer required https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1204998 I think same too was able use rpmrebuild to comment-out the Conflict tag, in order for rpm -i to work mpd seemed to work as expected no other package provides mpd # yum whatprovides "*/bin/mpd" Loaded plugins: auto-update-debuginfo, langpacks 1:mpd-0.19.2-1.fc21.x86_64 : The Music Player Daemon Repo : rpmfusion-free Matched from: Filename : /usr/bin/mpd 1:mpd-0.19.2-1.fc21.x86_64 : The Music Player Daemon Repo : installed Matched from: Filename : /usr/bin/mpd RPMFusion is no longer releasing updates for this version of Fedora. This bug will be set to RESOLVED:EXPIRED next week to reflect this. If the problem persists after upgrading to the latest version of Fedora, please update the version field of this bug (and re-open it if it has been closed).
