Summary: OBS browser source not included in RPMFusion builds

Status: RESOLVED CANTFIX

Description Elliott Tallis 2022-04-04 02:35:35 CEST
Tested on:
Name : obs-studio
Version : 27.2.1
Release : 1.fc35
Architecture : x86_64
From repo : rpmfusion-free-updates

According to https://github.com/obsproject/obs-browser/issues/219#issuecomment-841800229, OBS browser sources are now compatible with GTK as of recent versions of OBS Studio. However, the build option is currently not enabled on RPMFusion as there is a lack of a packaged CEF (see bug 5594).

I believe browser sources are critical to OBS being viable on this platform, as they are used by virtually all streamers for overlays. Having this be available here would prevent hacky workarounds from being required while also allowing people to update fairly simply.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Elliott

Someone will need to package CEF at fedoraproject before this is possible.
