Part of journalctl

After I boot and I see the splash screen, instead of getting into GDM I get a black screen. I am using a NVIDIA GTX 3070 card.

I'm attaching part of the journalctl which I think is relevant.

Please let me know if you need additional information.

Try editing /etc/gdm/custom.conf to force GDM to use Xorg.

Thank you, disabling Wayland and enabling autologin seemed to do the trick. It loads the black screen momentarily but GNOME loads after some seconds.

Also, from the help of another support thread, it seems like this is the bug causing this issue: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2071209

I'm experiencing a similar issue with a GeForce GT 730.

When I boot the system with the nvidia drivers, plymouth doesn't display correctly and I can only see a black screen.

I can view the login screen only when the monitor enables power saving (after about twenty minutes) and I interrupt the power saving state (e.g. by moving the mouse).

P. S.: I use Cinnamon DE, so only Xorg is enabled by default.

The simpledrm fix should be in 5.17.10

That should fix most issues.
