This is a known issue for F-12.  Also a newer version will be required for an xbmc package (which I am about to submit).

I'm preparing the ffmpeg update to be scheduled next week.

Please have it tested. (available in cvs but not built yet).

Update for earlier fedora release isn't planned at all.
