Description nucleo 2009-11-28 17:50:30 CET
Some wmv files stops playing or sound not synchronized with video both in vlc and mplayer in Fedora 12.

For example this file:
http://nucleo.fedorapeople.org/rayon27.wmv

In Fedora 11 no such problems with this files.

In mplayer running with "-v" option I can see error messages:
"lavc_audio: error A-V: -0.000 ct: -0.207 104/104 5% 7% 0.4% 0 0"

If run mplayer with "-afm dmo" option then this file plays fine (win 32 codecs from mplayerhq.hu are installed).

Should be fixed in mplayer-1.0-0.112.20100424svn.fc12
Comment 2 nucleo 2010-04-26 19:30:10 CEST
In mplayer-1.0-0.112.20100424svn.fc12 good sound in example file but there are still problems with sound in vlc

avcodec warning: cannot decode one frame (2731 bytes)
main warning: computed PTS is out of range (10705239), clearing out
main debug: audio output is starving (495164), playing silence
avcodec warning: cannot decode one frame (2731 bytes)
avcodec warning: cannot decode one frame (2731 bytes)
avcodec warning: cannot decode one frame (2731 bytes)
alsa debug: recovered from buffer underrun

That will probably be fixed by an ffmpeg update (coming really soon now). Thanks for confirming the fix for this one.

Bug fixed after update to ffmpeg-libs-0.6-0.1.20100425svn.fc12.i686 from rpmfusion-updates-testing.
