Please, add S_DVBSUB suport for Matroska (.mkv), the two line patch is available in the vlc tracker: https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/14577 .

It's really annoying to open file with these subtitles and have an immediate pop-up dialog which tells you that vlc cannot handle such codec.

The patch needs updating for vlc-3.0

The fix needs applying upstream so I'm closing this report.
