Description Carlos Santacruz 2010-12-11 18:01:45 CET
updated all 3 packages (cairo-dock, cairo-dock-core, cairo-dock-plugins) to version 2.2.0.4-1 on F14 x86_64 from the rpmfusion-free-updates-testing repo. now the dock wont start, no matter if gl is on/off, giving the error shown in the attachment

to reproduce:
start cairo-dock/glx-dock

just in case: deleted the configuration folder in ~/.config to no avail

Would you try
$ cairo-dock -c -l debug
from the terminal and attach the result (or upload
the messages somewhere)? The attached png file is unfortunately
not useful.

Comment 5 Mamoru TASAKA 2010-12-11 19:42:49 CET
Well, log message shows:

message :  (/opt/cairo-dock-core/src/gldit/cairo-dock-dock-manager.c:cairo_dock_init_dock_manager:92)

message :  (/opt/cairo-dock-core/src/gldit/cairo-dock-backends-manager.c:cairo_dock_init_backends_manager:266)

Maybe you have compiled cairo-dock by yourself under /opt/cairo-dock-core
and installed the result binaries, and they are not yet removed?
Comment 6 Carlos Santacruz 2010-12-11 23:54:19 CET
weird, it is true that i once compiled it, but was ages ago, and for a 2.1.x vers, then switched to the repo version and kept using it for a while without problems.

still, yeah, that fixed it, thanks for your time
