Description Kevin Pouget 2009-11-02 12:41:10 CET
Dear list,

I can get 3D acceleration working in Fedora guest (on any hosts systems).
This occurs with both packages VirtualBox-OSE and VirtualBox non open source edition.

It's specified in VirtualBox user manual that 3D acceleration has been tested on Fedora and Ubuntu guests, but I can find any people who get it on Fedora, but Ubuntu user don't seems to get any problems.

I get the same error than the above post:

(EE) AIGLX error: vboxvideo does not export required DRI extension
(EE) AIGLX: reverting to software rendering

have you any idea ?

Unfortunately, I did not have hardware to test this until recently.

In Fedora 15 this has been verified to work with VirtualBox 4.0.2; please test there and only reopen if it fails for you there as well.
