Description John Smith 2009-09-26 19:12:57 CEST
After updating to Fedora 11 I am unable to seek flac, mp3 and ogg encoded songs in Amarok. Files play fine but like I said Im unable to seek them meaning when I try to go to a certain part of the song by clicking the progress bar nothing happens.

Both gstreamer-plugins-bad and gstreamer-plugins-ugly are installed. I remember something like this happpening in Mandriva but it was a codec issue so you had to have gstreamer-plugins-ugly installed but I remember that all you needed was "bad pack" in Fedora. Still I have the "ugly pack" installed and the problem remains so could this just be some bug?

Have to add that I had Amarok 2.1.1 with Fedora 10 and seeking worked, but with Fedora 11 using Amarok 2.1.1 and 2.2beta2 it doesn't, so this issue is probably not related to Amarok itself.

Seeking works fine in other gstreamer based applications, so this is most likely a phonix bug. Please file a bug against kdebase in Fedora.

Also note that for ogg seeking no rpmfusion pakcages are needed, so this
is most likely an issue with a Fedora package and not with a rpmfusion one.
